Foundations: where my cyber journey began
Explore the formative experiences that shaped my path into cybersecurity. From childhood curiosity and hands-on problem-solving to professional growth and foundational projects, discover a journey rooted in genuine passion and relentless learning. My core skills include understanding information security basics, phishing and social engineering awareness, secure email practices, technical troubleshooting, and experience with Microsoft security tools.

Early tech exploration: curiosity and hands-on learning
My cybersecurity journey began at age 10, sparked by a broken projection TV that ignited a lifelong passion for understanding technology. This curiosity matured into a role as the family's go-to tech support in middle school, mastering phone activations and device setups through self-teaching. These early experiences built a foundation of technical aptitude and problem-solving.

Self-teaching & professional pivot: from repairs to data security
My persistence was highlighted by self-repairing my iPhone 8+, a project that honed my hands-on technical skills and troubleshooting. This practical experience paved the way for professional growth at Alta Resources, supporting Stellantis. Managing numerous warranty cases involving sensitive customer data, I gained critical insights into information security. I learned to recognize phishing attempts, implement secure email practices, and utilize tools like MFA and virtual machines, all while operating proficiently with Microsoft Teams, Outlook, Word, and Excel in a secure context.

Building blocks: networking, python, and problem solving
My foundational understanding solidified through early networking and Python projects. Designing IPv4 addressing schemes and subnetting in virtual labs taught me structured analytical thinking and packet analysis. Simultaneously, building basic Python programs like calculators and guessing games honed my logical thinking, debugging skills, and laid the groundwork for secure scripting environments. These experiences were crucial for building and troubleshooting systems from the ground up.
“A person that has always been curious, resourceful, and hands-on — and that mindset naturally evolved into cybersecurity.”
Employers will recognize a genuine, lifelong interest in technology, evidenced by a hands-on, curious approach to learning and problem-solving. This journey highlights a natural evolution into cybersecurity, demonstrating professional responsibility, clear communication, and a continuous drive for growth, proving a story of momentum, not randomness.
